The Legacy and Impact of the Amtrak P42 Genesis Locomotive
Surviving P42s at Amtrak are now being supplemented by new long distance Chargers from Siemens Mobility. The original order of 75 european Chargers, which use Indiana-built Cummins power has been completed. Siemens has now started producing 8 Viaggio sets for Cascade Service. In North America they are branded "Brightline," "Venture," and "Airo."
